Trying to drive potential customers to your business so they can avail themselves of your products and services can be a tiring, time consuming, and often thankless job. It can also result in ulcers and headaches as you wade through the ever-increasing competition to try and get your business noticed. And while there are many methods of attracting customers to your website and your business, most of them simply don't work to a great advantage anymore.

Over the years people have become inured against advertisements of any sort and it is becoming increasingly hard to capture their attention. Short of banging your potential customers over the head with the proverbial brick, you have to use whatever methods are at hand, and more importantly, use whatever methods are handy.

Taking all this into account, it is heartening therefore to say that there exists one method of advertising that has yielded results more than once: Pay-Per-View advertising (or PPV for short).

Unlike the similarly named Pay-Per-Click advertising, with PPV, you pay a small fee when each advertisement is viewed - not when a user clicks on it - which means you don't need to depend on user interaction to bring your advertisement to the forefront. You target specific keywords and link your advertisement to those keywords; and when these keywords are searched and accessed by a user your ad will be shown or ‘viewed'.

The very nature of PPV advertising - your advertisement loads onto the screen before the actual website does - ensures that potential customers have to interact with the advertisement or sit through it if they feel so inclined. It is this very dichotomy of doing things that ensures that your advertisement will somehow find its way into the mind of potential customers.

As the fee required for every PPV is very low - it can be somewhere in the range between $0.02-$0.05 cents per each view - you will see there is a greater value in having your advertisement displayed over a number of sites.

Taking all these aspects into consideration it becomes easy to see why advertising using PPV is one of the best steps you can take.
